Great 22 rifle. Had my doubts about the cheap scope but my son and I got it zero’d and found out it was totally consistent hitting a steel silhouette at 100 yards time and time again.

Great value and quality. The Savage 64 (lefthanded) is very accurate and made of steel. Savage offers several aftermarket accessories for this rifle such as an aluminum trigger (which I don't need) and a set of springs to reduce trigger pull, among others. The included Tasco scope is not of the highest quality but I am using it. The Tasco optics are bright and the scope is very useable, and comes with mounting hardware that is otherwise costly. It's a fun, low cost to own, low cost to shoot, rifle. Plus, I have a grand child who might be a lefty and this will serve them well in the future. BUD's service was perfect (as usual). And BUD's website provides easy access to order status, shipping info, tracking info, and delivery info. A good experience overall. Will order from BUD's again - no doubt about that.

Buds shipped my Savage left hand model 64 the next day after ordering. I has it in May hand in 4 days from order, needless to say I will be a customer for life. Not many firearms come in left hand configuration and buds had choices to pick from. The 64 has a great feel and the balance is great. I will be taking it out to the range this weekend, and expect it to be a a tack driver. I am not happy that the 64's bolt removal requires an easy barrel removal, but is so well made that I have no doubt that accuracy wil not be affected. I own a Savage A6 that is over 80 years new, and see no reason that this rifle won't end up in my yet to be grandsons hands as well. Marlin uses a plastic front post, the Ruger 10/22 is too expensive for what it is, and are "micro grooves" really necessary for a .22. So happy with this purchase!!!!
