Great as always

I ordered this pistol as a project 1911. It arrived to my FFL quickly. After disassembly and inspection, I cleaned and lubricated it. The first range visit resulted in 100% reliability. Then it was ready for upgrading. Wilson Combat flat wire 17 pound recoil spring, guide rod and Shok Buff (some folks hate these, but I love 'em). Wilson Combat titanium firing pin with extra force spring. To prevent that increased spring force causing light primer strike, I changed the main (hammer) spring to a Wilson Combat 25-pound spring. I polished the disconnector and tuned the sear spring to reduce trigger pull force from 5.2 pounds to 3.4 pounds. The factory barrel-to-bushing clearance was perfect. Likewise, the sear profile was excellent. Tisas makes outstanding barrels. Accuracy is superb. I used brass wool to polish the cerakote finish on the barrel feed ramp. Cerakote is high friction, polishing it smooth makes it quite slick. It would wear-in by itself, but why wait? Overall, for a small investment, I would put this 1911 up against pistols costing to to three times more. After upgrades, I consider the equal of higher end 1911s costing 5 times more. The supplied MecGar magazines functioned well, considering the cost. I own a dozens of magazines. I have run Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat, Act-Mag, Colt and Springfield magazines in it. All functioned correctly.

I purchased this a few months ago to replace an older 642 with the older sights. Buds did not disappoint with the fast shipping and pristine condition of the gun. The front night sight is an amazing upgrade, as well as the improved grips. If you are a fan of J-Frame wheel guns, you really should consider getting this as your back-up gun.

Bought after 30 minutes of youtube watching. It is a short, quickly reloadable blunderbuss. Practical? Please... About as useful as my Rossi Brawler. Fun? All smiles. More expensive than similar Turkish shotguns. I had an Ati Turkey Fowl that was fun too. It is still have the price as the Chiappa.

Love this gun. Perfect for a suppressor. Fit and finish are great. Highly recommend it. Also highly recommend Bud's! Only place I've purchased a firearm in the last 10 years!

Beautiful gun with the build quality you expect from Henry

This is the best 1911 I have ever owned. Quality fit and finish is top notch. I have put many rounds through it and it's been flawless. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a great 1911 you will not regret it. Buds was great as always.

Bought my first anschutz Apr and I love it. You can tell right away that it is pure German construction. Very smooth operation. And dead nuts accurate so far. I only have about 400 rounds through this gun so far but it preforms excellent as you would expect from a $3k rifle from German.

Just bought one from Buds after hearing that a new batch of the 92fs compacts was manufactured and sent from Italy. I've wanted one of the compacts for a long time and could never find them. Had to jump on it when these dropped and very glad I did. Just picked it up and it looks great, can't wait to shoot it.
