In 1957 when I was 10 years old, I watched Dad inspect and clean his newly purchased recently manufactured .357 Ruger Blackhawk. Ten years later on leave from Vietnam, I went shooting with him and my brother. We were in the woods near Lincoln Montana. Dad never was inclined to compliment me about anything, just the opposite. But my Army style one handed accuracy with his Blackhawk caused him to mutter, "You've got the range."

Removed bull barrel top half of my 10/45 Ruger and replaced with a lighter more balanced and carryable unit. Gun is much handier, just as accurate, with perfect function even with cheaper bulk ammo. Heck, that is all I've ever shot anyway!

Bud's as always shipped promptly. I love the rifle! I can't speak on accuracy yet, but I love how solid it feels and the smoothness of the action is as advertised. I also like that the mounting surface for the scope rings is flat, giving a good spot to stick a level while mounting. Looking forward to range time forthcoming.

The Tikka T3x TAC A1 in .308 doesn't require immediate upgrades out of the box. It is the best value in its price range. At approximately 10.3 lbs (4.7kg), without optic, it is heavy. Provides a familiar feeling since it uses a used-to AR-style pistol grip. Two-stage trigger is crisp and adjustable and perfect for precision shots. Tikka T3x TAC A1 is a very smooth action similar to much more expensive rifles.
