Great ammunition very accurate A++++

This has been a fantastic gun for me. My brother likes it a lot too. I don't have much experience with optics but i heard quite a few people who bought the same gear pac replace the optic each for a different reason. The gun however is a fantastic gun and you get 4 magazines, 2 of which are 20 rounds.

This was my first gun I bought. A friend recommended buds due to lower prices. The gun itself is great. I've had a few of my gun enthusiastic friends shoot mine and vouch for it as well. The employees were very helpful as well with it being my first gun, I had quite a few questions and they answered them. Would definitely recommend both the gun and buds!

This is a great gun and the price I got it for here at buds, has been the best also. It has the Kimber engineering and quality you would expect, when buying a Kimber. Look out Staccato!

This gun takes me back to the day when the browning high power was very popular and I'm very happy that Springfield Armory and buds gun shop carried this weapon. The weapon fires great functionally good price good value.

I chose this version of the Homesteader for the longer barrel and have no need to muffle the report. I have had the rifle to the range now twice and expended about 300 rounds. Not a single malfunction! It patterns reliably at 50 yards (hits exactly where I aim it) which makes sighting in a scope very easy. I immediately replaced the magazine adapter with the included Glock one which worked perfectly. Disassembly, cleaning and reassembly was easy with the exception that the video and the manual state "peeling away the action bars" but my copy of the rifle requires the action bars be pushed forward to release them from the weight. I don't have the hand strength to do this but a brass drift and very small tap from a small hammer works perfectly. The receiver is designed to allow the barrel to be cleaned from the chamber end. The wooden stock is of outstanding quality and provides for easy mounting of the rifle and complete insulation from the barrel's heat. I rented other 9mm carbines at the range and this one, although a bit more expensive, was far more attractive and reliable to shoot than the other rifles I tried.

Very easy to get used to the non-rotating bolt. The first range session consisted of over 100 rounds to first sight in the scope and then to check accuracy at 100 yards. No malfunctions at all and accuracy as good as a Ruger 10/22. In fact, this rifle had the feel of a bolt action 10/22. Disassembly for cleaning, cleaning and reassembly was easy with no risk of losing parts or performing tricky motions. The magazine adapter took a little work to get used to, but after this period of learning and using a small screw driver I was able to apply and remove the magazine adapter quickly and with little force. This became even easier with a small modification to the adapter. Unfortunately, these adapter are a bit hard to find to purchase at present. I chose the walnut stock and am very pleased with the excellent woodwork. The stock's wood is sealed, so no problem with using in the field by taking the usual precautions.
