Beautiful little .22. Bought it for my son starting 4H shooting. The compact is great for a smaller stature kid but even a taller kid can feel comfortable with it. I purchased the longer stock from Ruger.com for$25 but as I said the compact stock it comes with will do for larger kids as well. We haven't shot a variety of ammo to see what it really likes but so far plenty accurate! You will not be disappointed. Ruger needs to make a left handed version to compete with Savage though

This is not the first gun I've bought from Bud's. I recommend them completely. They have never steered the ship wrong with me.

Out of the box it looks and feels great, the rail and front checkering are a nice touch, the firearm feels overall solid in the hands. I've owned a RIA 1911 and a Browning Black Label 1911, in comparison, this Taurus feels the same. Took it to the range for a gentle break in/reliability shoot and had only 1 stovepipe and 1 failure to feed out of about 100 rounds; I've tightened the extractor a hair and have had no issues since. I highly recommend this "within my budget" 1911 for anyone wanting to be introduced to the platform or those who just want another 1911 without breaking the bank or getting a utility disconnected.

Great pistol. And it is a great platform for upgrades. I Volquartsen-ed mine but stock it still makes a decent steel challenge pistol.
