How would one mount a red dot optic on this pistol?

John, you simply remove the mounting plate on the slide, and attach any compatible red dot. (mounts with screws). I believe this gun has the Docter/Noblex footprint, but check you paperwork to be sure. Then you can add any compatible red dot, such as the Vortex Venom. Stay safe & have a great day!

Do Kimber make laser mounted grip for this sexy beast?

Geoffrey, at the moment Kimber doesn't. Any full sized government 1911 grip lasers will fit this. My first Kimber and it did not disappoint. Great fit and finish. The Suppressor height sights are large and great. Shipped with one magazine. Will run 500 rounds break down and runn another 500 and report back.
