I miss this gun. No seriously, lost it in the divorce. I spent a good amount of time tricking this little sucker out to the point where even my ex-wife liked it so much she got it in the settlement. Cant say Im happy about that but given the price, Im looking forward to a new build on one of these rock-solid shooters……………. PROS. Hardcore reliable - Ive never had a light-primer strike or stuck hull. The chambers have a good polish, the hammer springs are crazy strong, and the cocking mechanism works on the downward break-open stroke, WHICH you can game really easily (get a LICENSED gunsmith, cough, to take about two links off the return spring and you can one-hand this thing open with barely a flick of the wrist). It shoots anything, obviously, and has a pretty tight to center pattern out to 25 yards. The finish is gorgeous. Also, the Brazilian hardwood is foregoving so I drilled and screwed in sling swivels into the foreend and buttstock easily……………… CONS. Dont do what I did with the sling swivels - the wood is crazy dry and chipped off near the stud. The base pad is awful, put a recoil pad on there. Even with that, cough, totally gunsmithed suggestion I said, the break lever is heavy and theres no great fix for that if you want to use this guy for cowboy competition. And no auto-eject, which I know is for British arisocrats but come on, we got drones and stuff now - is it SO much to ask for to eject my spent hulls, dang it?!!…………… CONCLUSION. What is there really to complain about a coach gun that shoots straight, looks cool, and you can customize pretty much however you want? Im not even sure why Im writing this review. If you want a coach, get it. If this isnt what youre looking for, its spelled C-O-U-C-H and Sears can help you.

Was looking for another 12 gauge and the Stoeger Coach guns had recently caught my eye. Very pleased I took the plunge. Well made and easy to clean. The action is stiff out of the box but is slowly improving within a normal break in period. Pictures do not do this justice. This is a very nice looking gun. Target acquisition is very fast and the triggers are very smooth. While I would not use this as a primary home defense shotgun it makes an excellent secondary to your modern high capacity pump action. Very enjoyable shooting 12 gauge in a Coach Gun platform. If you like shotguns but are looking for something a bit different from the common pump action experience this might be worth a look. Buds service was excellent as always.

Fun fun fun! This little guy is slick and fun to shoot. Finish on metal and wood components is very nice, although the black/nickel makes fingerprints/dust stick out like a sore thumb. Hits hard when running anything hotter than gun club loads. Bought a slip on limbsaver and it makes it easier to shoot rounds with more pop. If you're looking for a coach gun of high quality that won't break the bank, this is it.

I am very happy with the shotgun. Fairly stiff action when new, but has smoothed out with use. The only real negative is there is one or two runs in the black finish on the stock. Very minor but noticeable.

Still have not had the chance to shoot this beauty. Ok so this gun is just absolutely awesome looking and the quality is top notch love it and is truly a wall hanger. The fact it easily breaks down and fits in a small backpack or bag is very cool.
