Of all the shotguns I own this one is the one that gets the most looks and gets asked if I'd sell it the most too. It is a solid pump. Easy to clean easy to shoot, it has a nice nickel finish and has only jammed once when I fidnt clean it for 200 shells. The heat shield helps lot and the butt can hold 2 extra shells in it. It doesnt like te mini shells but that's just fine.

came very well greased and ran it. no. lube or anything was shooting out the box with it..... no regrets. the nickle plating was a good choice because it feels like it is made to last

So far I am pleased with my purchase but havent had a chance to actually shoot it due to the Coronavirus shutdowns. I do love how smooth the action is tho. Hands down, smoothest action I've ever seen on a pump shotgun and I have shot hundreds of different pump shotguns from the cheapest to the most expensive. Cant wait to actually put some holes in targets when this virus is over.

Believe it or not, I prefer this over my other two 12 gauges that cost me more than double this one. Easy to handle. Easy to shoot. “The word is inexpensive— not cheap”ly made at all. Normally shotguns in this price range get wobbly over time. Not this one so far for me. I’ve Put easily over 1000 shells through it and she’s still nice and tight. Highly recommend this gun for skeet, hunting, home defense; really anything. Easy to clean, and visually appealing!

Great gun for the price smooth action shot different kinds of ammunition in it no Hangups no jams really liked nickel finish on it p but make sure you keep the nickel finish oiled up on it after use and storage

Shipped to my FFL really quick. Took is home and was cleaning it (coated in oil from factory). I took the barrel shroud off and under the clamp the nickle finish was poorly applied.It Looked really bad,I sent pictures to Rock Island and they asked me to ship it back.They replaced the shotgun. I took the replacement to the range and had nothing but trouble. Kept jamming on ejection. Also noticed that the shells would not release from the mag tube. I sent this gun back also. I am really disappointed with the M5. I will probably get rid of it when it comes back from Rock Island. Maybe try the Maverick 88. Just want a inexpensive 12 ga pump that works. This one is not it. Not for me anyway.

Gun looks good after cleaning it up. It's heavily soaked in oil when you get it. Haven't shot it yet but not bad for a budget shotgun. The 1 3/4 shells do not cycle but had no problem with the 2 3/4. Real smooth action.
