Heavy but accurate and fun to shoot. Bud's is GTG.

After well over a year of waiting on Form 3 and Form 4 transfer paperwork, I finally have the Thompson in hand. 1st off, let's talk price. Over time, I've come to find that you just ARE NOT going to beat Bud's prices. And if you somehow manage to, 9/10 out of 10, they're going to match it for you to get your business. I didn't buy this Thompson on a whim, it was a lot of research, price hunting and reading before I made the nearly 2K investment after the stamp. There's not much out there on this gun, so I'll go ahead with what I think; If you're willing to spend the money, you're getting what you pay for. The gun is exactly what you'd expect. Same high quality as when they started building them back in 1921. Everything is machined with attention to detail. There are no rough or shoddy edges. Everything is smooth and classy, as it should be. The gun shoots and functions flawlessly, especially when you get it broken in. Everything on the gun is stiff right out of the box, obviously, it's never been fired and tolerances are tight. A few hundred rounds will break it in just fine. Also, you've already spent 2K on the rifle, so don't be cheap and shoot junk ammo, feed it what it deserves. I'm not going to get into ballistics and accuracy. It's a gun, it will shoot as good as the skill of the operator behind it is capable of. I saw no accuracy issues out of the firearm. My ONLY overall complaint is that Auto Ordinance didn't have to be so stingey and send only 1 magazine. The gun comes shipped with one 30 round stick magazine, which bothers me because it's not time-period accurate. The original 1927's came with 20 rounders and/or a drum. All in all, that's really my only complaint. If you're like me and just can't afford to shuck out 40k for a transferable select fire Thompson, then this will leave you happy without a doubt!
