Received the 1927 A1 Deluxe Thompson today. After taking out of the box and opening the case, the deluxe model should have came with the drum and 2 30 round mags as all the other deluxe models I've seen have. Not a terrible deal breaker. There is rust on the muzzle break and some on barrel, you cannot put the mag in without pushing the mag release also, maybe needs breaking in?? You cannot cock the bolt back far enough to clear the rear of the mag to chamber a round. Hear there are ez springs for it aftermarket too make it able to cock it back. Bummer! Have to spend more money to get it shootable. Overall, nice looking Thompson!!!! Wood is great looking!!!! Gave the 2 stars due to the issues!

Absolutely gorgeous!! This gun has exceeded all my expectations. Very solid, very tight fitting, and an affordable way to get a copy of a classic. Using Buds layaway made it easy to purchase. They also shipped it, rather quickly, to my personal FFL. Looking forward to a drum mag soon. Will buy from Buds again!!

This gun was great. I bought it back in 2010(?) I severely regret selling it. Haha. Awesome firearm. A little hard to work with in ways but nonetheless it was a great and fun gun. Buds was great as usual!

Buds guns is a great company.
I purchased this firearm as more of a novelty item and glad I did.
I actually had to do some fine tuning to the firing pin mechanism to get it to go off every time.
After which it works and performs well enough.

It looks and feels nice, but unfortunately not sure if the 30 round stick mag that came with the gun has a faulty spring or feed ramps not shaved down right or what because bullets keep jamming up as they are going into the chamber. I mean every single stick I load up has several feeding jams.

Took this gun out to the range for the first time, first mag shot fine, second mag I was able to fire the weapon with the safety on. Later, was shooting in "fire" mode and switched to "safe" and just by switching to safety made the gun fire, finger wasn't even near the trigger, extremely lucky that I was pointing downward. Near the end, had loaded a full mag, and on the first shot Mr. Tommy decided to go full-auto, I only pressed the trigger once, and it automatically fed and shot the remaining 29 rounds. I had DNR on me within 5 seconds, Luckily today no one got hurt or killed. I am very nervous about ever taking this gun out again. I used the recommended .45 acp round nose FMJ, Remington. I also read the manual three times before taking it to the range. Glad I bought the insurance as I will definitely will be sending this one back. Will give Buds' all the credit for the fast shipping and service.

Have not shot my Thompson to date but am so impressed with the product as was sent by Bud's. Beautiful gun and packaging was superb. Bening lighter weight than the original is such an assest. Can't wait to begin shooting the Thompson.
