WOW! Simply beautiful. I replaced the front sight with a Truglo TFO and the platinum colored grips with some Hogue Piranha G10 custom grips and now its perfect. I love the polished surface contrasts and the function is outstanding as all my SIGs are. I just love this version with the beaver tail grip. There's a good reason SEALS prefer the SIG P226. Outstanding.

This is my second firearm. The trigger is smooth like butter. Sig put so much stuff on it for storage that cleaning it was mandatory before taking it to the range. My initial problem with it was failure to lock back on last round. Sig's FAQ page stated that the recoil spring needed to be broken in, so I stored it with the slide locked back between range visits. Now it locks back every time. You also have to watch where your thumbs are during firing, your thumb can unintentionally hit the slide release during firing, which can also prevent slide lock on last shot. Besides that issue, it is my favorite gun up to date. The 229 platinum elite in 9mm will be my next toy due to my total satisfaction with this one.If you want to bypass the longer wait for shipping times, the VIP 25.00 fee is worth it if you plan to finish your gun collections quickly. 4 stars to SIG for making me depressed between range visits. This is by far the best firearm i have ever owned, the srt is a great addition to this gun. It sure gets the people at the range intrested in what i have. all and all great firearm, the only beef i have is the service of buds, they have great prices but the actual communication isnt there. Its not a deal breaker for me just wish they could make the ordering and questions more user friendly , after all almost a 1000 for this gun alone. I will do buisness agian and look forward to the next sig on my list.
