The entire process with Bud's was, as always, fast and smooth. The ACOG has a proven history of success throughout the military. I remember them from my days in the sandbox. It's accurate, well, as accurate as the shooter can be. No batteries which is always a plus especially in a SHTF scenario. Even if the illumination function is damaged you can still see the site aperture during the day to take a shot. It's durable and can withstand the elements. My daughter even uses it when she hunts.

The owner's manual that comes with the ACOG fails to instruct how to sight in. The manual simply instructs how to use windage and elevation knobs, but fails to mention that after adjustments, the shooter should tap on the adjuster caps to "seat" the adjustment in. Otherwise, you'll never get properly sighted in--I didn't even hit paper on my first trip to the range. Watched a couple of you tube videos, went back out and zero'd in quickly and easily. That said, the ACOG is a superior optic. Tough, easy to use (once zero'd), clear glass, and a great sight picture. It's a pricey scope, but you get what you pay for in optics and I want reliability, accuracy, and ease of use and the ACOG delivers all three.
