The 1911 is a single action gun, and should be carried with a round in the chamber and safeties engaged. 1911-style guns are the iconic single-action semi-automatic. Pulling the trigger on a 1911 drops the hammer on the firing pin, and that's it.

My other review was my first foray into 1911 clones and all things considered - since that one was in the very crowded $600-700 market but is an excellent gun to rival anything even much more expensive. But now I've been blown away by another Turkish manufacturer- Tisas. With Buds great price $399 and as fair a trade in value as I could get locally - this gun is a perfectly functioning beauty at a deeply discounted and affordable price point. Do not be in the least bit timid of Tisas or dealing with Buds. Smoothness transaction that both that and the gun flew way past all reasonable expectations! Great gun, fit & finish & function & accuracy tough to match at any price - simply amazing.

3RD Tisas and again top quality gun. Buds again shipped and delivered within 2 days. These guns are the best for the money. Put 100 rounds through it so far with no problems at all. quality is as good as my series 70 colt government.

I ordered a Springfield "Garrison" in stainless a few months ago, I wouldn't even fire it, they sent me another one. I'm on my third Tisas, the quality and value are far superior to most anything out there. No MIM, I've been told the rockwell hardness on Tisas exceeds many higher end gunmakers. No better value in a 1911.

This is an excellent purchase for the price point. Very nice model 1911 with many of the upgrades you would expect, and some missing (by that I mean I appreciate the Series 70 design) I hesitated to purchase feeling this was too promising, but it is the real deal. I've found Tisas to be a quality manufacturer before and they did not disappoint here. Two each 8 round magazines. Cleaning brush and disassembly tool. Padded case and instructions. Buds service was excellent as always.
