Although I prefer a competitive bullet due to numerous jacket-thickness selections, I believe the Rem Core-Lokt is an excellent over the counter product substitute in the absence of reloading equipment.

Core-lokts work well and the round nose seem to hit alot harder than the new ballistic tips.

Reliable function. Recoil is more noticeable. Keeping some around. Seem most useful for quick negotiating with big problems.

First, Buds...absolutely flawless in their delivery of this ammo. Great, GREAT job as always. Now the round...It is what it is, and that is more than enough. It is a 225 yard or less HOG STOMPER, and deer slayer. It is less than 1 and 1/4 inch three shot group at 100 in both my Remington 700 and Remington 7600. It is my favorite round for my heavy woods rifle called Stumpy. It is a Ruger American I cut down to an 18 inch barrel. It wears a Red Dot and I treat it like I was hunting with an open sight 30-30. Two eyes open, normally less than 80 yards and the difference is instead of a 170 gr 30-30, it is a 220 grain Corelokt at 2300 fps. Very fun and very effective. This was my first ammo order from Buds but it will not be my last. THANKS AGAIN.
