Really impressed with this rifle, Have been building my own AR’s for several years, decided I wanted to build one in 7.62x39. Started asking around and one name kept popping up Cmmg Mutant, Broke down and made the purchase and couldn’t be happier, the purpose built lower that takes standard AK mags, the upper with a .308 bolt carrier, little touches that add up to accuracy and reliability come range time, Paired with a Vortex Strikefire II it’ll out perform any AK every day.

I had seen some bad reviews on this rifle and I have to say I don't understand why anyone would give this rifle a bad review. I never had any malfunctions with this rifle even shooting steel cased ammo, it functioned perfectly and never had any issues whatsoever. I mounted a Nikon p300 scope on it and it was dead on accurate up to 200 yards. I'm not a gunsmith or super experienced shooter so it may have been more precise at farther distances should it have been professionally done. Overall I was extremely pleased with the transaction from Buds and I am very pleased with this rifle. This is an excellent hog hunting rifle in my opinion considering the inexpensive 7.62x39 ammo and accuracy of the gun.

I had waited a long while to get this fine piece of steel and the long wait was well worth it. Impressive is an understatement. You will not regret getting one. My only gripe was it took a little longer than usual for the delivery BUDS GUN team. You guys are still the best bar none. Thank you again for delivering my new steel.
