The fit and finish on this is second to none. I purchased this from buds as a closeout and was extremely impressed with the speed and ease of service and transfer. As for the gun it is a first-class Ruger product with a clean crisp trigger break. The wood is finished nicely the bluing is deep.

I haven't shot this weapon a lot but so far my experience with it has been excellent. Shoots tight groups and recoil isn't bad. Additionally its a fine looking rifle. Very pleased.. Roger Harl

I purchased the Ruger 77 Hawkeye in 30-06 Left-Hand. The rifle met my expectations in terms of quality and function. Very classic lines, and feel. The rifle functioned well and was very accurate printing a 3/4" 3 shot group at 100 yards with 150 gr ammo.The trigger pull was crisp and at a very reasonable pull weight for hunting. The transaction at Bud's was flawless. It went smoothly and quickly, including the transaction at my local gun shop which was on Bud's list of preferred FFL dealers in my area.

First of all, I don't know how Bud's got hold of some left hand Hawkeyes, but I could not pass this up. Bud's service was impeccable as usual. This rifle is beautiful. Wood to metal fit is what one would expect from a premier rifle. The wood on this one is exceptional for a non-custom rifle. Mounted a Leupold FX-II 6X scope, and this rifle is shooting under an inch at 100 yards. Bolt cycles well, and all functions are as they should be. I'm thrilled with with purchase.
