Once MasterPiece Arms decided to build the Protector Series of sub-compact double action only pistols, they chose to stay with what has proven to work best when building a quality firearm. CNC machined parts from solid steel and no short cuts. This quality built and beautifully designed MPA380 Protector Series pistol is black with a stainless steel upper slide. Both the precision upper slide and lower receiver are machined from solid billets of steel, no castings or polymers of any kind are used. Two ports positioned at compound angles at the top of the barrel reduce the felt recoil levels similar to a 32 ACP or 22 Magnum shooting experience. The MPA380SII now features anodized matte black grips fully machined from 6061 aluminum billet.

All components are produced and assembled in the USA.

I owned a Taurus 738 and Ruger 380 that stove pipe or jam with some ammo. Both pistols prefer there own special rounds. The MPA 380 fires everything I put in it. Well make like a swiss watch this pistol is perfect for concealed carry and fun to shoot. I feel safe when carring this pistol because I know it will fire when I need it. The only down fall is field stripping the pistol.

took gun to range today for first time today shot 50 rounds of blazer fmj and 10 rounds of speer gold dot HP ammo. zero problems gun just went bang everytime. I received protector 2 model which has ported barrel to lessen recoil. gun is very hard to field strip the first time but was much easier the second time I did it. Watch the video on masterpiece arms website on how to field strip this weapon before attempting. do not dry fire this weapon without a magazine in or you will have to reattach the trigger bar. there is a note that comes with the gun that tells you this. I would rate this gun as excellent quality and so far very reliable

Good pistol at a good price. Definitely a mouse gun for protection and a good pocket carry gun. Bud's service was excellent. The pistol I received says "Protector II" on the slide, so maybe it's a newer model than pictured. The sight are NOT the dot sight pictured, and is just a groove in the top of the slide, but it serves its purpose. Cleaned it and shot it, and it shoots well- fed CorBon ammunition flawlessly. Thanks Bud's!
