Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length. Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space. Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better sealing is achieved. Battery compartment is now separated from the base to allow it to hover over the delta ring of the rifle. Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 600 hours. Side buttons with a single quick detach throw lever.

I love these. Bought 2. One for an AR-15. One for an AUG. I’m not exactly going to torture them on purpose. But one has been through 2 rifle courses now, been banged around plenty, & had no problems. Love the MOA Ring on the reticle.

The EOTech quality you'd expect. I've been purchasing Holosun as an alternative and decided to try EOTech for the first time post-military as there was a sale. Not disappointed. It's a true holographic dot, not visible from the target. That's the only drawback with the Holosun offerings... the dot seems to work both ways. About the only thing I would change on the EOTech is the overall size. It seems a bit bulkier than necessary. Otherwise, works like a champ for as long as the battery lasts. Currently on a 300BLK, but haven't fired it much with this sight due to the lack of replacement ammo. If you don't mind the bulk, lack of solar backup and shake-awake tech, and if it's on sale, I'd definitely recommend at least one in your collection.

Highly recommend the EoTech EXPS2-0. Enables me to hit bull's eye into 100 yd. target consistently with no scope or magnification, and dramatically improves target acquisition at shorter ranges. Price was hard to beat as well, one of my many purchases at Buds.
