Pressure from incoming material creates lateral pressure on the ribs forcing expansion. Ogive is computer engineered to assure smooth and positive feeding.

So far so good, fired from a S&W MP .40 and Hi-point .40. Each gun had one feeding issue but overall performed well. Great price
