Great gun. Live in Montana and have taken elk and deer with is rifle. Very accurate and no malfunctions. It has been banged around in some rough terrain and is out in extreme weather often and is holding up very well.

I give the RIFLE 5 stars. The rifle itself is solid, the bolt came separate in the package, which I'm pretty sure is a Savage trait. The scope took 2 shots to zero at 100 yards, and is solid. For the money, and compared to rifles that are twice the price, this piece is well worth the money, and a steal at $500! Very pleased!

I purchased this Gun one week to use on a dear hunt the next week. I took it to the range and sighted it in 2 days after it arrived and after 3 rounds I was hitting dead center. I shot my first buck and put the round right through the heart of an eight point. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Buds ,as always, made the purchase as painless and expedient as possible by getting the gun to me with perfect timing.

This rifle feels like gold. Nice weight, balance, and built. I have not shot it yet and i hope to do so very soon, the good thing is that I'm going on a hunt in a few days and i will most definitely wield this along with my AR. I just recieved this rifle about 2 weeks ago and the transaction went smoothly. Buds processed my payment (debit) in about a week, which is pretty standard. The shipping only took about 3 days and arrived to my FFL dealer. By two weeks tops i had this baby in my hands. Great condition. No flaws. Can't wait to shoot it and i know it's going to be my primary in deer season this this year. BUY THIS GUN!

Got my gun delivered from Buds in the time that they said it would arrive. I however did not receive any emails conforming shipment. Have yet to fire rifle but everything looks great. I am over all pleased with the process and will probably order my next gun from Buds. Come on fall and deer season.

This is my 4th purchase from Bud's and my 3rd rifle. Normally their service is great, but for some reason it took almost 2 weeks after my purchase for Bud's to ship to my FFL. Besides the slow shipping, Bud's service is usually great and their layaway plan is awesome. The rifle I purchased was the Savage 111 Trophy Hunter XP with a Nikon scope. Out of the box the rifle is extremely accurate, the reticle on the scope is very nice and clear, and the rifle comes with the AccuTrigger, which is light and adjustable. Great rifle, great price. I would definitely recommend this rifle for the entry level hunter or anyone looking for a solid powerful purchase.

Received this rifle within a week of ordering. Efficient and reliable service by Bud's. Have put about 75 rounds through the rifle at the range and found the accuracy to be outstanding. This is my first rifle with the Accu-Trigger technology and it is impressive. While the kick on this gun is hefty, the trigger prevents flinching so you end up with a good shot every time. Nikon optics on the rifle was a bonus. I would recommend this package, especially to hunters like me that are relatively new to the sport. Well-made rifle for a reasonable price.
