Perfect for the littles to learn to shoot and gun safety!

I bought this to train youngsters and as a light pest control tool. It did not disappoint. The stock is TINY and the rifle weighs less than some fishing poles-definitely made for little kids, but manageable and fun for adults. It was surprisingly accurate, grouping under an inch at 25 yds from a partially supported standing position with plain old Remington Thunderbolt using the factory irons. The Accutrigger is as good as the ones on the 110 series and it was perfect out of the box, needing no adjustment. The peep sight is simple, stout, and gives a good clear picture with a bead front. It's drilled and tapped for a scope if you want to upgrade a novice shooter to glass, and I imagine the accuracy would be quite good if you did. Definitely good enough for skill development, small game, and fun factor for a kid (or adult). The "banana" yellow stock is good for safety purposes, and you can get it in a bunch of different colors that suit a young shooter's fancy. No regrets, great little piece of gear for well less than $200. Bud's service the usual world-class.

Ordered two of these to use for Boy Scout merit badge shoots. They worked out very well until some thief apparently stole them from the gun club.

Bought as gift for grand nephew. Wanted something to fit his small frame as he matures. Wanted an easy load single shot that cocks with bolt action rather than a separate cocking lever. Savage trigger is nice and safe at same time. Color is such that it WILL be noticed. I like teaching peep sights to youth. Teaches them to align sights better than notch and post. Great deal for a first rifle. Many characteristics favorable to other youth bolt action available.

Another fantastic transaction from Buds. I bought this rifle for my 6 year old son. It shoots fantastic. We put a rail on it and red dot scope. My son shoots the lights out of it. Fun for us all. Highly recommend for small children. A++++++++++

Awesome little rifle for my daughter, this thing is so accurate with the rear peep sight that I even enjoy ripping out the 1" bullseye with it. The quality of this little Savage Rascal is excellent, not to mention the cool color!
