Paul, it will fire mini shells but will likely not properly feed them. The mini shell adapter for the Mossberg should also fit this one, so for reliability I'd use the opsol adapter. Paul, if you put one in the chamber, it will fire , but mini shells will not will not cycle properly in this gun. The OpSol mini shell adaptor WILL NOT work in this gun. It is for Mossberg's only. Have a great day!

Charles, both barrels can shoot slugs. They are both smooth bore Barrel so rifled slugs will work best. Hope this helps.

Charles, you can shoot slugs through both actually Sir. The 28" field barrel has a fixed modified choke and the 18.5" security barrel has fixed cylinder bore so slugs will be just fine in either. The Stevens 320 shotguns are well-built imported models carefully selected for their performance and value and provide many features only found on more expensive models. The 320 Pump Field model features a proven rotary bolt design and dual slide bars for reliable operation. The receiver is a bottom load with right eject. This turned out to be a great purchase! I've shot over 100 rounds of bird & buckshot in each barrel, not one jam or issue. Kicks like a 12 gauge is expected, will buy a recoil butt pad and a soft-sided case for it soon

The gun shoots really well. It is comfortable and the barrels are really easy to switch out. After taking it to shoot clays, it is pretty accurate. The long barrel makes it a little forward heavy; however, not so much that it can't be controlled. Recoil is almost nonexistent. The short barrel feels great. Did not have an opportunity to fire with it. At its price point, this is a great buy.

This a good low end shotgun. I'd say it "shoots" as good as one costing considerably more. Action is smooth and what's not to like about a black synthetic stock? Great little squirrel gun too the will double for home defense with the short barrel after squirrel season is over. Around our house, there's an on going war-on-squirrels which have cost me over a half kilo-buck in repairs for all the misc hoses the little buggers have chewed up on my Taco (Tacoma). Bud's service was great as usual .

Good shotgun with multiple applications. Have it set up for home defense 18.5 barrel and when I go out to the field I can conveniently switch barrels. Have to say this is one reliable shotgun no failures to feed, no failures to eject. Not a complicated platform. I would highly reccomend to anyone with a low budget looking for a rugged firearm.

Was looking for a reliable short barrel Bear stopping gun that I don’t need to worry about getting scratched up in woods. Seems to fit the job. I also added a pistol grip to shorten gun also . Slugs were also bought for same protection.

I had a Baretta 18' barrel, 6 in tube pump back in South Africa, which I sold when I immigrated. Put 1000's of rounds through it and shot a large number of pigeons destroying sunflower seeds on farm lands. This being said, I prefer this Stevens shotgun on any day compared to the Baretta. When I watch reviews on YT I notice here is a tendency that if a firearm does not carry a certain name and come from a certain place it is substandard. The remark is always. . . "Not bad for the price" nonsense. Well at least it helped me get a great gun cheap. I can also recommend the Stevens 301 single as well. A quality well built gun too.
