Runs smooth and accurate..heavy though so not for someone looking for a concealable 1911 though I have worn it comfortably matched with the right gear it is doable. No malfunctions

This is the 3rd 1911 I've owned, and I will say, the 3rd times a charm. If you're in the market for Kimber, shoot the kimber side by side with this gun. Then smile a ton when you realize this gun is just as good if not better, and you have an extra thousand dollars to spend on so,etching else. Best 1911 I've ever shot.

Got this as a birthday present to myself and couldn't be happier. Fit and finish is excellent and all the parts are well made. The slide rattles ever so slightly but it isn't anything like a rock island or other lower end 1911 fitments. From the factory the gun wasn't caked in oil or grease and wasn't horribly dirty, although you can definitely tell they fired test rounds. For the price, this gun is excellent. It isn't a nighthawk or a Dan Wesson, but it is an awesome mid priced 1911. Some minor gripes are that the barrel ramp has some obvious machining marks from the factory that will need to be cleaned up before it will feed some hollow point or exotic ammo like G2 RIP ammo. The trigger has a very tiny amount of grit in it that can make it seem like the trigger has some drag or hangs, cleaning the gun will clear that right up. The grips are very aggressive, so much to the point that for a lot of people it would be hard to shoot without gloves. I put some strike industries grips on it and they are great. Sights are amazing, they aren't loose at all and the tritium inserts work as advertised. As far as the brand goes, I couldn't find a lot about para and their products out there and what I could find was reasonably positive so I took a gamble and bought this 1911. I couldn't be happier with the quality that came from Para. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking at 1911's. Buds did everything they said they would, shipping was fantastic and quick, payment process went without hiccups: overall a great experience.

I bought my Para from Buds early last summer and have had time to put it through the ringer and it has not disappointed. The gun arrived in perfect condition and like all my firearms was disassembled, cleaned, and lubed. I have put roughly 1,000 rounds through this gun with not a single malfunction. The factory mags have worked great along with a few Wilson Combat and Kimber mags. The gun is very accurate and the only bad shots I've had were operator error. All my buddies love to shoot the gun as well and most of them have spent a lot more money than me on their hand guns. When I carry a hand gun in the woods this is the one. I use a Blackhawk drop leg rig and have toted this through the thickest brush, pouring rain, and dusty desert. It always performs perfectly. I keep it clean when I can and it just works. The night sites are bright and the finish has held up great to a lot of drawing in and out of my rig. If you are looking for a good , full size 1911 with a rail, I highly recommend the Para Black Ops.

Great gun for the price. Really fun to shoot and accurate. Feeds well and cleans easy. Great service from Buds; no complaints.

I picked up my Para on Christmas Eve. Once home I broke it down and what I saw was pure perfection. Fit is awesome. There were no finishing marks at all. The gun machining was pristine. So was the finish. All surfaces including the barrel had the Ion PVD finish and they looked awesome. After lubing the gun I went to the range and shot 200 rounds through the factory mags, S&W mags and Chip Wilson mags. No failures or issues of any kind. The gun shoots point of aim. At this point I’m totally satisfied with this 1911. In fact, it performs as good as or better than my S&W 1911 Enhanced. Considering the features of this gun and its quality and performance, this is a keeper!!!

Very impressed with this 1911. you hear lots of mixed reviews on para's and the price is great considering all the features so i wasn't expecting that much but this pistol has surprised me. Looks and feels great, put 250 rounds thru it yesterday with no issues runs stock, wilson and chip mccorick mags no problem. This pistol is stupid accurate, i can't even believe how easy it is to shoot this gun accurately. I think its a awesome 1911 for under $800. definitely would recommend it.
