This combo deal is less expensive than just the rifle at a certain local retailer near me. Granted, the scope and rings are about as cheap as it gets but I managed to fit a 2-7x32 Nikon Prostaff on the mount without making any modifications. Fit and finish is perfectly fine, if not better than I expected. The weapon is rugged, that is certain. It's light enough, and the break open action combined with a 22" barrel make for a handy rifle. I bought a pile of Hornady Superperformance 200gr soft points and they grouped fine, I was able to prove at least MOA accuracy with these rounds. I didn't find the 200 grainers to have especially bad recoil, although it'll definitely get your attention. 250gr pills might be a bit on the rough side. All in all, especially when you consider this is a rifle that is going to see use a couple weeks out of the year max, it's a great buy.
