For ventilating paper targets, popping tin cans, or hunting squirrels for a traditional Brunswick stew, the "double deuce" is the #1 caliber of choice. Our Sportster rimfire rifle, in both 22 Long Rifle and 22 Win. Mag., features a precision crowned 20" barrel. This single shot break open rifle is finished in non glare matte blue and features a weatherproof black matte high density polymer stock and fore-end with swivel studs. It also features an adjustable open rear sight, and ramp front sight.

First of all I have to commend Buds for their prompt shipping, great packaging and overall great service at the lowest price I could find! This rifle is just as I had hoped. Having owned several H&R's over the years, this model wasn't a disappointment. Tight fitting and crisp action with great out-of-box accuracy.

Received my New England 22 Mag rifle yesterday. Took it to the range today for 50 pops. Sweet little shooter. Every shot was true to aim. Its so light, I will hang a sling on it and carry in the brush as a walk around rifle. Will eventually mount a scope with see through high rings to continue access to the iron sights and give extra clearance between hammer and scope. Tom

This rifle is a tack driver. I put a leupold scope on it and use it to shoot squeeks in southern Oregon alfalfa fields. I have had it for about three years now and it is still my go to gun for this purpose. I have put thousands of rounds through it, it has never failed me and is still deadly accurate.
