Hi Frederick, there is no way for us to know whether this has the new Timney trigger or the older X-Mark Pro trigger. How dies this rifle unload? Is it by cycling the bolt like an ADL or does it have a floorplate? I see questions and answers regarding installing a box mag so I am assuming there is a floor plate. Thanks!

Hi Frederick, this model has the hinged floor plate design. It is unloaded by pushing the floor plate latch to release the floor plate. Stat safe & have a great day!

Do Remington 700s use magazines?

Jason, this rifle uses a 4rd Internal Magazine. There are detachable magazine conversions available : https://www.legacysports.com/product/detachable-magazine-drop-in-kits-remington-700-bdl/

As mentioned, this utilizes an internal magazine with the option of using the removable magazine conversion kit.

No, this has a fixed magazine that you load from the top. Looks like they do make conversion kits so it can accept a detachable magazine though. They have them at legacysports.com hope this helps.

Ok first things first. I received this rifle faster than I have ever received one from Buds. Fantastic service. Now lets get to the rifle. Its not exactly as described in the item description. This is NOT old Remington pre-bankruptcy stock. The serial number starts with RAR, which means the rifle was manufactured in Ilion, New York by Rem Arms. The bolt is jeweled, and the trigger is a Timney! The only thing I haven't confirmed is the 5R rifling, but most reviews I have read state that all new Remington 700s have 5R. This is about as excited as I have been in a while. I hope someone at Buds reads this review and updates the item description.

This bolt action rifle has never failed me. I've taken many of white-tailed deer with it. I have it paired with a vortex scope and have been very pleased with the results.

Excellent rifle. This is my second Remington 700 and I am very pleased. Smooth action and solid performance right out of the box.

This is one of the smoothest rifles I have fired. It is extremely accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Bought a $50 Tasco sight at Wal Mart and had this thing sighted in at 100 yards within 3 shots. I have not had the opportunity to hunt with this gun yet, but I cannot wait to do so. Another great thing about this rifle is it will fire the cheap ammo just as accurate and as well as the expensive ammo. I load up on Federal shells at Wal Mart for 20/$14.97 and shoot all day at the range. I would recomment this rifle to anyone wanting a great entry-level rifle for target shooting, hunting, whatever your pleasure.
