The model 700 VLS (varmint laminated stock) delivers tack driving, varmint rifle accuracy with a handsome, resin impregnated, laminated stock. Includes monte carlo cheekpiece, and a wide, flat, beaver tail shape forend for enhanced stability. Firmly bedded in the stock is a rigid model 700 action, mated with a vibration dampening 26-inch heavy varmint barrel. All metal has a richly blued, fine satin finish.

Nice gun. Couldn’t get the best accuracy with factory ammo. Hand loaded some 107 grain and 105 grain Berger hybrids over h1000. Accuracy improved shoots .5” groups at 100 yards. Good enough for me in a factory rifle.

Nice looking rifle but the best I could get was 1.5 MOA @100 yards. Tried various types of ammo and bullet weights but couldn't find a thing the rifle liked. I even called Remington and learned about poor customer service. Bad experience overall. Took a loss on the rifle and will shop other brands.
