This is my first handgun. I visited local gun stores and looked at and held a lot of handguns ( Glock, Ruger, Springfield, Browning, etc, etc), but kept coming back to the P229. It fits comfortably in my larger hand and target acqusition with the night sights is fairly easy - especially for a new handgun owner. I surprised myself with my groupings during quick succession firings and single shot accuracy was positive (again, I'm a new shooter). I've shot almost three hundred rounds over a two-day period and all with no problems, jams, etc. Sig makes excellent weapons. Not news to you veteran shooters.

Settling on the right handgun for me, was the hardest part. Purchasing this handgun from Bud's was a breeze. Great communication from Bud's during the ordering and shipping process. I will certainly consider Bud's for my next purchase.

the case was a little scuffed up, and the decocker lever had a little red dicoloration on it. It is an older gun, manufactured in 2009. I guess I should have looked closer at the specs.

This gun is amazing. Buds was very quick in answering all of my questions about it and also with shipping of the item. I literally took it out of the box and put a few hundred rounds through it, and it is absolutely astounding. For any enthusiast, beginner or journeyman, this is a phenomenal purchase, and well worth the money. I shot this side by side with a Glock 19, and the owner of the Glock now wants to trade his in for one of these. Honestly I can say that I am happier with this purchase than I would have been settling for anything else. I recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing it.
