This is a high quality 1911 at an affordable price. I did tons of research prior to purchasing this offering from Magnum Research. What I found out was that this is one of, if not the best 1911's in this price range. The trigger is very nice. Initially, it has a hair of take-up. But, if you ride the reset (very short by the way) forward it breaks for every subsequent shot with ZERO take-up. Pull weight is light, about 3 1/2 pounds.

I took this gun to the range today. I went through 150 rounds of Remington UMC and Federal Champion 230 gr. It ran great. It fed everything flawlessly. I did, however, have 1 failure to eject. All in all though, I would call it just about perfect for a fresh out of the box 1911. I am very pleased. I let the range master shoot a magazine out of it, and he was very impressed. He basically shot 1 hole with all 8 rounds. He was amazed at the trigger. He let me shoot his Remington R1 enhanced and I have to say, I like my 1911 better. The trigger is better for sure (less take-up and shorter reset) and I like the full length guide rod which the Remington does not have. I changed out the grips for VZ carbon fiber 320s and added an EGW magwell/mainspring housing. This dramatically improved the looks of it. I love it. Overall, this is a reliable, quality and accurate 1911. I can't recommend it enough.

Really beautiful 1911, looks custom. Nice groups at range, did have some FTE's, feel like that will work out with range time and rounds. Looks and price get it 4 stars. Glad I got it.

This is an excellent weapon that performs well beyond its price range. The trigger is light and crisp with very little creep. The frame to slide fit is comparable to 1911s which cost twice as much. Accuracy right out of the box was surprisingly good. First time out I shot 150 rounds of Remington UMC 230gr and did not have any malfunctions whatsoever. I'm taking away a star for two reasons: the finish on this gun isn't great and the roll mark is gaudy. Overall, I am very pleased.
