The 93R17 TRR-SR bolt action repeater target rifle features a 22" matte black carbon steel heavy barrel with a threaded muzzle (1/2-28 threads) with Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger, a detachable box magazine and black wood-grained laminate stock. This model also comes with a Picatinny rail system for all your tactical additions. never figured out how to adjust the trigger, was perfect out the box shoots like a laser beam over and over killed several hundred turtles with it, all head shots, 20 to 200 yards killed a few cats too. get a bi pod.... it is heavy esp with scope and bipod. i retired it to a bench only gun as its about 10 lbs. the rails all have sharp edges, cuts fingers often.... easily my most accurate long gun by far. we shoot toy army men at 100 yards and asprin at 50 buy it but you wont want to lug it through the swamp all day with all that extra rails and what not. looked cool with a light , scope and laser... but its way to heavy set up like that

This rifle is awesome. Great shooter and not fussy on ammo. CCI and Horady both shoot about the same groups at 100 yards. Buds was great as always, had the rifle in 4 days

Great service from buds. Love the gun except rounds wont load out of magazine. Not sure if magazine isnt broken in or if there is a flaw with gun, but i havent had a chance to really look into it yet.

I love the .17 HMR caliber. This Savage is a great platform for this round. The AccuTrigger is one of the best production triggers on the market, in my opinion. Add some decent optics and you'll have yourself a very nice little tack driver! I did not care for the picatinny rail setup that came with the gun. It looked and sounded like a great idea, but the finish on it is very crude. Lots of sharp edges and pointy corners to bite you! Also, this is a heavy gun and this big chunk of metal on top certainly doesn't help any. I replaced mine with a single short picatinny rail, which I like much better. The stock is also very nice. Great bench gun!

After shopping around for a 17 I was not satisfied with a 200 $ or 300 $ models they just didn't seem worthy of that much money.Save your money and get this savage!!! U WILL get it out of your gun safe« set it on the table»and stare at it for like 15 min a day!! Fo reelz

I am in love with this rifle. I bought it just for plinking and to teach my son to shoot and now I think this rifle is too nice to be his first rifle, his expectations will be too high for future rifles. The bolt is nice and tight and has a smooth action and the weight of the rifle is perfect. I cleaned and oiled the bore really good before shooting and my first trip to the range my best group at 50 yards was .25 inch with hornaday vmax and my best group at 100 yards was 1 inch. This was my first time shooting it on a 40 degree day with 7-10 mph winds. Do yourself a favor and buy this tactical version of this rifle instead of the cheaper versions. It is well worth the money and the accuracy is awesome. There will be very little varmints left on my property this year.

My favorite rifle yet. Put on a cheap center point scope and no joke i fired the first three rounds at 100 yards all three shots went within the same hole. Awesome rifle...love the light crisp trigger...and absolutely no recoil from the 17hmr round....dont be hesitant just buy it.
