This is an awesome revolver. 2 issues i have is: 1 the grips. It allows the trigger guard to dig into your finger. 2 Why they made this gun with a round butt instead of a square butt, I just don't get it. Other than that I love this gun! I replaced the grips with a larger one that has solved the issue.

Feels like you're holding the barrel of a tank. This particular version of the 500 S&W with the 8/38 barrel is heavy. If you get the biggest handgun may as well get a big version of it. Fit and finish is beautiful, but it's a Smith and Wesson so that goes without saying.

This revolver is a machine! I love the way it shoots. People usually come by my shotting area just to hear it fire. It has a good kick, but is feel pretty awesome. I would definitelly recommend it.

I've got the 4 inch model I bought this one with hopes of hunting with it and reducing recoil with the longer barrel with full power loads and a 500 grain bullet this thing still kicks pretty good. I will more than likely be getting the 10.5 inch version to elimate some more recoi buds has fast shipping
