We are lucky to have a gun this robust on the California drop list still. I shot this exact model that my Father in law had and finally ordered one for myself. Buds shipped it straight to my FFL in California the same day I paid! I got the new generation as I had hoped without the shiney machined area on the top of the slide. The sights are exceptional, the front one is TruGlo and the rear are Siglight Sights. I have large hands and the grips fit well. The gun is a little wide for smaller hands. The balance is very good even with the 3.9” barrel. There is no stacking with the trigger pull. Double action for first shot then single for the rest. I also love the auto decock lever on this sig. great service from buds I will buy from them again.

This weapon exudes quality at all levels. So happy the newer models (the one I received says Mar 2017 on the box) now don't have the shiny machined-away area on the very top of the slide (you can see older versions like this on youtube). The exposed stainless parts of the slide are still quite matte because of the brushed stainless finish, so I find the contrast to be fairly low-key. I love the grip; it fits my large hands well. The sights on the equinox models are exceptional, and really bring home the value of this Sig. Bud's did a great job shipping this to my local FFL in California. Would buy from Bud's again.

The P220 equinox is an expensive gun, couldnt afford the full amount right away. Buds layaway plan allowed me to buy this in a timely manner. Gun arrived at shop in as described condition. Put on a pair of Hogue King Wood checkered grips and this has got to be the most gorgeous pistol on the planet. Thanks Buds............

I chose this pistol to replace my comparatively anemic (for this purpose) Kahr K9 Elite as a home defense pistol. It is also one of the few serious pistols still on California's list of approved guns that has no LCI or magazine disconnect. It shipped very quickly from Buds to my local FFL, where I had to endure the mandated 10-day wait. Once I got it home I was totally reassured that I had made the right decision. The Equinox grips feel exactly right in my hand, and the shorter 3.9" barrel of this Carry model gives it precise balance. The pistol is everything I hoped it would be.
