This is my 6th Glock and by far my favorite so far. I wanted a .45 that could hold up to the level of shooting I normally do, and that is about 2,000 rounds a month per caliber. I have had 1911s in the past, and I love them but there is always some sort of issue with them that needs tweaking. Not so with the Glock. As a Highway Patrolman, I carried one daily and trusted it with my life. 100% of the time. Never a fail. This Gen4 model is really an imrovement over the previous models. I love the backstraps, the new stippling and the double spring. The finish is a little duller which is fine for me. This is the best price out there from a most reliable company.

MAN!! What a pistol, 13+1 round's of .45 ACP...... Oh yea, the 'American Big-Bore Glock' indeed!! I first started reconsidering my lack of Glock's in my collection, as I'm more of an XD/XDM, 1911-grip angles, DA/SA, revolver guy, when shopping for a new full-size 9mm range gun. Luckily right then the Lipseys' Flat Dark Earth line came out so I got an AWESOME Glock 17 FDE 9mm from Bud's, and decided the grip's fit me as it'd been a while and my hand's are bigger than when I last fired a Glock when I was 18(!!!) I now like the Glock-ish feel. So in the middle of a YEAR LONG search for more than one extra magazine for my FN FNP-45, at $50 a PIECE (which at least comes with three, but the Gen 4's come with three mag's now too and extra's are only TWENTY BUCKS!!). I decided the commonality, ease of finding accessories and MAGAZINE availability the entire Glock line offered was worth it and I traded in my FNP-45 for this and am very glad I did!! First, it has, as even my gunsmith remarked, one of the crispest, lightest, best reset on a 5 lb even trigger from ANY factory Glock and Glock's are their bread and butter! The 4th gen texture is a perfect blend (PERFECT!!) of the 3rd gen and the RTF 2 texture, magazine release is PERFECT, I just love it, gotta get a couple hundred round's through it and I'll check back with it's reliability.
