The Colt XSE Series features everything that top shooters demand in a pistol. The foundation for these pistols is a forged receiver, a forged steel slide, a forged stainless steel barrel and a forged steel slide stop. Front and rear slide serrations come standard along with Novak® sights. The Colt Upswept Beavertail Grip Safety with Palm Swell and enhanced cut under the trigger guard allow for a secure hold on the pistol. The addition of a one piece, full length guide rod rounds out a pistol suited perfectly for the shooting enthusiast or the personal defense user alike.

Love this pistol! The 1911 XSE I received was not the same model that was listed on the Colt site. Heck, it was several years old without the Novak sights. I contacted Colt, specifically the Custom Shop supervisor after searching the 1911 Forum. Brent took care of me and my pistol, upgrading it to the current specifications and making all right. The 1911XSE shoots lights out, before and after returning to Colt. Trigger excellent. Accuracy excellent. No complaints after the "correct sights" were installed. I have since installed an S&A Magwell/Mainspring housing and G10 grips. This pistol is great! Normally I replace the barrel bushing with an EGW Gunsmith-fit bushing to tweak accuracy potential, but this Colt came with a tight fit bushing. Looking forward to my next Colt purchase!

Excellent pistol. Could not be happier. After a quick clean and lube, I headed to the range and put a couple of hundred rounds through it. It performed flawlessly. Bud's service was excellent. I highly recommend both the 1911 and Buds.

Picked up mine yesterday at my local FFL. Have many 1911s but this is my first Colt. And first impressions of the gun are...well I'm pleased more so than I expected to be. Heard all the stuff about Colts being fitted loosely slide to frame, not so with this gun. Fit is very good and the finish is very nice. Now the finish isn't the old deep royal blue that Colt used decades ago but it is very nicely done and of very good quality, matte rounds and polished flats. No jagged edges anywhere as they have been smoothed over before the finish was applied. Series 80 gun as is case with most Colts today, though the trigger feels very robust. Haven't fired any rounds yet through the gun but am certain this one will not disappoint.

Fast shipping as usual with Bud's. The pistol is a great 1911 with a flawless blued finish. Just beware that it comes heavily oiled it took me about an hour to mop off all of the excess.

Probably the last Colt I can ever buy in CA. I was a little taken back when I got it and it appeared to have been in long term storage. Box was dusty, but the gun was oiled and appeared fine. My first range trip proved that standard 230 gr Wichester, Federals, and Mag Techs are all fine with this gun. I'm happy to have finally added a Colt to my collection of 1911's.

very satisfied all around!! total time from purchase to delivery was about 7 days. firearm was in great shape took it home wiped it off put 100 rounds thru it, worked perfectly and was surprisingly accurate! highly recommended!!!!

Great all around 1911! Tight frame to slide fit. Tight barrel lock up and good bushing fit. Crisp trigger. Excellent bluing and finish. Best of all, it is a tack driver. 1200 rounds down the pipe with a mixture of ball and hallow point ammunition with zero malfunctions with the Colt magazines and Tripp Cobra Mags. Equally as accurate as my Colt Rail Gun and National Match. Thanks Buds for the fast shipping and good pricing! Add the Wilson spring kit for a tune up.
