Ergonomically designed to deliver shooting comfort and maximum accuracy, the Thunder series features an improved Browning Petter locking system for reliable feeding and ejecting. As usual, I got a good price and fast shipping. Out of dozens of purchases this one is a little disappointing. The handgun is covered with some kind of brown gunk and inside a plastic bag. The barrel has multiple 'smiles' on it and is rough to the touch. I tried to clean it and smooth it but no luck. I hope it's functional at the range. There is a date on the spent cartridge envelope of Feb 2015. This seems to be old inventory. I will report this experience to Eagle Imports. This does not reflect well on them. My other Bersa purchases were received in good condition.

Hi, I bought this a couple of years ago. I have prolly put 6 or 700 rounds through it. It's accurate and not one hang up. It shoots as good as my Smith&wesson. Very good gun for the money and I received it in 3 days. A lot of people buy the 38. I just like the way the 40 shoots. Thanks Jesse

I really like this handgun. Fits my hand really well. I have already went thru 200 rounds in this weapon. Flawless so far, no jams or anything. I also had a great transaction with buds and their layaway plan. Buying my 2nd weapon thru them. Thank you,Benny

While I've had great luck with Bersa's smaller caliber guns, I found that their larger semis are greatly lacking. The rear site on mine is notched incorrectly and only half of it is painted. I touched up the paint issue myself. It is a solid and sturdy gun and after about 600 rounds has had no FTF or FTE issues at all...however the accuracy renders it almost useless. I put about 200 rounds myself through the gun with no great accuracy. My dad, whose been shooting over 60 yrs put another 200 through it without much more success. Two other guys at the range, both dang good shooters, handled it for awhile and they too had zero luck. At 25 yds half the shots won't even be on paper. This will likely be the last Bersa semi bigger than the .380 I buy.

Shot 100 rounds of 180grn fmj's with my new Bersa Thunder 40 HC. The Bersa thunder performed very good with no FTF or FTE. Easy to load the magazine compared to my Beretta PX4 9mm. Very impressed with the accuracy and smooth trigger pull. The bad is the quality control of this pistol. I have read other buyers mentioning rear site was not painted. I also had the same issue. The magazine is a bit loose in the receiver but not enough to affect the performance of the pistol. For the price and overall performance, I would recommend this gun to a friend. My friend liked it so much that he is ordering one for himself from Buds.

This is one of the best performing pistols I own. Bersa is the most underrated manufacturers in this industry. This pistol is flawless and a blast to shoot. I also own a Bersa 380 and plan on getting a Bersa 22lr. I find that there products are good quality and a great value. Buds also is a great supplier, they have always delivered!

Just got my Bersa 40cal and man it is the bomb, I have to say it was better than all the reviews! Buds was great and the Lay away plan is awesome. Back to the gun, we took it to the gun range and it was flawless and it was powerful. I woulld say I would recomend Buds and the Bersa gun any time. Bret Myers
