The good: I love the looks of the pistol and the color. The finish looks like it will be quite durable. Take down and reassembly is a breeze. I am also fond of the three dot sights. The bad: The grip is quite large and even though the safety lever is large also it is uncomfortable to reach because of the big grip. I tend to get a little finger pinch because the trigger is really curved and the trigger releases far back which causes my finger to slide to the bottom and get pinched against the trigger guard. The trigger pull leaves a lot to be desired. It feels gritty and quite hard to pull. I've only put a few dozen rounds through the gun so maybe this will free up a little after breakin. I also would like to see a captured spring set up such as is on the taurus gc3. The g3c also has a fantastic trigger pull. We love the other Bersas we have and I like this gun for the most part. This pistol is large and I think it would be uncomfortable in an inside an iwb holster. If you have to carry it in an owb holster I think I would get the full size model with four more rounds in the mag. Time will tell on the trigger. shooting at fifty feet the gun seemed accurate enough. I had a bum shoulder the day I shot it and could not get into a proper stance. Even so I was able to keep all rounds fired inside a five inch circle at fifty feet firing off hand. This is the first firearm that I have ordered from Bud's. It was an easy process but because of the times it took a little while to get here. Would I order from Bud's again? Definately if the price is right.

The FDE finish is evenly applied inside & out. I’ve had CZs where under the slide it wasn’t fully coated and you could tell the finish was sprayed on. So this was a pleasant surprise. There was normal wear from metal-on-metal contact after the range. The black finish on the barrel/chamber is wearing rather quickly though. I’m not sure if they arranged the rails differently or slightly reduced the trigger guard, but this model seems much more accessory friendly compared to older PRO models. The trigger is heavy but consistent throughout in double action. In single action, when the trigger is brought almost fully rear, there’s a light break. The reset is as good as a Walther or Sig SRT. I noticed less muzzle rise and recoil than on the Pro HC. Likely because of dual recoil springs & less mass reciprocating as the slide rides the frame. Groups were about the size of a fist, standing at 7 yards. With the Pro I can put the whole mag in a golf ball size hole at the same range. It is lighter, with a smaller grip, & shorter sight radius. With more practice I’m sure those groups will tighten up. These grips are flat and kind of slick when shooting. I assume IWB carry is what Bersa had in mind with them. It’s a lot like holding a P320 X-compact with less aggressive texturing. I’d honestly prefer a drop-off instead of the pinky extension on the magazine, because that curved ledge feels like it’s forcing my grip up into the undercut of the trigger guard. Those with smaller hands probably won’t notice any discomfort. It’s nearly identical in size to an X-compact too, for those wondering. The mag followers felt really loose & floppy at first. While loading, the cartridges would point nearly straight up. Took a bit to unload & reload them correctly. After firing both mags once, this problem seems to have fixed itself and they function normally. There was one stovepipe on the second magazine I fired, probably due to whatever issue was originally plaguing the magazines. In 200 rounds there were no other issues. It has a loaded chamber indicator up top. Front & rear serrations on the slide. Take-down is a breeze. Flipping the safety up fully decocks the hammer, prevents the slide from moving, and disconnects the trigger. Flipping it down puts the pistol back into double action. There’s a key & lock-out feature that prevents the slide & trigger from moving. I think these features would be very useful to those who are new to firearms, not completely comfortable with EDC, or casual enthusiasts who don’t want to invest a lot of time & money in a firearm/training. The accuracy & moderate recoil will also help to build confidence quickly. Overall I think it’s an exceptional value compared to more expensive alternatives on the market.
