Smith & Wesson MP2OR Performance Center 10mm 5.6 15rd PRT - 15+1 Rounds

Such a beauty, okay she is a great looking firearm, but most of all the weight and balance makes it so nice at the range. I wanted to add a second 10mm to the arsenal and this one is very much worth the wait. Bud's makes it easy to order and shipping was quick. The ported barrel, great trigger, sites, capacity are all positive reasons to get this beauty. Grip texture is an additional feature that makes this firearm nice to shoot. Love our time together at the range, and my shooting buddies now have another reason to love when we shoot together. They can shoot a great gun for the cost of a few rounds of Big 10. I purchased the S&W in February. Bud's was very good with the purchase and shipping. This pistol shoots straight, has a very good grip texture, and isn't too heavy to hold. However, because I purchased this specifically for hiking with my wife (you know, wild life and all) I decided to try out different ammo for this reason alone. Here's what I tried: Underwood Ammo 10mm 200gr Flat Nose Black Cherry Coated Hard Cast 1250 FPS Black Hills Ammunition 10mm 115gr HoneyBadger 1600 FPS Buffalo Bore heavy 10MM Outdoorsman Handgun Ammunition As you can see from the photos there are issues with this. Feeding, ejection, and stove piping! I spoke with Wolff Gunsprings and they recommended trying different recoil spring weights. S&W wanted me to send the pistol to them, but after researching the problem I decided to get three recoil springs instead. Other than this issue it is a very good pistol for what I intend to use it for. Not sure if I can update my review, but I will try after replacing the recoil spring.

I had the 4.6" 10mm and it kicked like a mule compared to this upgrade. It performs as good as it looks. My first shots at 10 yards were less than 1" group which I was stunned because I am TERRIBLE at pistols. This new version is night and day with the longer barrela and porting. This reduces felt recoil but at least 25% in my amatuer opinion. The extra 1/8" sight spacing making it easier to line up. And the trigger is much more appropriate in controlling the powerful 10mm in initial and follow up shot. The grip profile is much better as well. I don't have to death grip this firearm and the extra large paddle safety is a feature I hope M&P trickles down to standard equipment. just as a peace of mind and way to earn.politcal brownie points. This is like comparing the original 4 inch to the M3 Stuart behind the times and late to the game. The 4.6" is like the Sherman 75mm it's ok and it works but a few adjustments and you have the war winner here. The 5.6" is like the Firefly it just needed a little love and customizing by the P.C. reserve brand.

Outstanding firearm. 3 range trips so far with over 250 rounds fired and it has run flawlessly. Buds typically excelled on quick shipping and solid price point. I strongly recommend this firearm if you’re looking for a soft shooting 10mm with a great range of features.

This is just as it appears on the website. I have not taken it to the range yet, but will do so in the coming weeks. This looks and feels like a competition gun right out of the box and the Performance Center upgrades takes it over the top. Hopefully it performs as well as it looks when I hit the range.

I absolutely love this pistol. The fit and finish is what one would expect from Smith & Wesson Performance Center . Flawless! I’m sure it will provide a lifetime of great service. I really love 10mm and this was calling my name and I had to have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It goes well with other S&W 10mm M&P Outstanding pistols I really love them.
