Insane value for money on a great gun. I ran about 50 rounds through it but fell in love with it, it’s reasonably accurate but I need more trigger time with it to fully adjust to its unique DAO pull. They pull like a good double action revolver trigger, their biggest asset to carry is width. Most Kahr arms guns are under an inch thick this particular model is .94 thick which I found is the toughest dimension to hide. I find it field strips very easily and proved reliable with 165g loads. So what makes a Kahr do desirable you ask? A match grade barrel from Lotar Walther with polygonal rifling is where it starts, then Kahr adds an offset fee ramp to bring the slide lower to reduce the overall height. They finish it off with a snag free design that comes out of a holster quickly. It’s one of the best carry guns around. The model here also has a flat black DLC finish that doesn’t stand out if you catch a glance of it if your shirt rides up. The gun is made out of 4130 chro moly steel and it’s got no polymer anywhere but the grips. The rubber grips are made by hogue specifically for the K series kahrs and they are definitely sticky your hands not slipping. ( I replaced mine with crimson trace LG-460s that I found from an online vendor as they were discontinued) I do carry it and it’s in my rotation, it’s solid. My only gripe with the gun is it’s weight, being all steel it’s heavy. The heft though helps it soak up the .40 caliber recoil and not punish your hand as bad as the polymer frame Kahrs do. I had 3 .40 cal Kahr guns, The K40, the P40, and the PM40, I kept the PM and the K and that ought to tell you how much I liked it. They have a reputation as boutique carry guns and it’s definitely there for a reason. But now and again you find a good deal from buds and the deal here was just too good to walk away from. Wait till they go on sale and try one out you might find out you like it

The K40 is by far my favorite new EDC. This thing ate everything I fed it without any issues. Anyone who is looking for a midsize 40S&W that shoots with as minimal recoil, comparable to that of a full size, look no further. This has a perfect balance and great trigger. There is no denying you would have to really need to pull the trigger for this to go off. It is not like a Glock or any of the other poly wonders I love to shoot. Glocks will always have their place with me as a duty weapon. As an off duty weapon for EDC.... this hit home for me. Other manufacturers that copied Glocks trigger were not keeping EDC in mind. KAHR DID. Their deliberate and no creep trigger system is extremely easy to get used to. And Bud's was super fast to ship and a breeze to buy from.

Bought this pistol several years ago as a CCW. I have no complaints, but traded for an MK9 for enhanced concealability
