This is a quality piece and a good shooter, though I found the specs so tight that my choice of self defense ammo limited to the American Eagle from Federal and Aguilar from Mexico. It would not feed the first round of Winchester or Remington .380 ammo. You could put Winchester or Remington ammo in first, then use a Federal as your first round. Strange, but that was my experience. I would be curious to see if other owners had the same issues with feeding the first round.

There are many 380's available today, and I've shot quite a few of them. The Kahr P380 is still the goto pocket pistol for me. It is comfortable to carry, hold and shoot, and I'm more accurate with it than others I've used. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Buds made taking delivery from FFL easy, and I appreciated the emailed status updates. I did have some failure to feed issues continue after the 200 round break in period. Kahr customer service was great. Sent my P380 back to the factory and received it back seven weeks later. No issues during the 200 rounds fired since getting it back. Very happy with the pistol now.

Trigger problems. Kahr customer service was not helpful. Will not buy another Kahr product

Great little pistol. Easy to carry and shoot accurately. Zero malfunctions in the first 300 rounds.

I have had several CW 380's, so I decided to see if I could tell any difference between the "CW" and the "P" series. Of all the Kahr's I have owned this one has been the only one to require 200 rounds to break it in, Out of the first 100 rounds I would say 50% were light primer strikes. (got pretty frustrating). I used three different types of ammunition to see if some were just hard primers, but it did it with all of them. After actually firing 200 rounds it started to fire consistently. My hands were about done by then, so I am hoping in the next 200 rounds all the kinks will be worked out. I had no feeding issues with my XTP carry ammo; and in all the rounds I shot I only had one failure to feed with a round nose round. Now to the way it shoots; I really don't think it's my imagination but it appears to me to shoot tighter groups (4-5 inches) at 21 feet than any of my CW's. For such a short barrel I was pleased. Some people really don't like the long trigger pull, but to me it's fine. The break is crisp so to me the trigger pull is not an issue. The last reason I switched to the "P" series was it was a fraction lighter than the "CW" series. Since it is my really hot weather carry, I won't be able to tell if the little weight difference matters. For a really light firearm the recoil is really not that bad; it's not a 200-300 round range gun but for a close quarters get off me gun - it's perfect. I honestly can say I am not dissatisfied with this firearm and I am looking forward to carrying it.

What a fantastic buy and a fantastic gun. Ran the first 200 rounds through it the first day I picked it up without any hiccups. Great reliable pocket piece. The transaction from Buds to my FFL was easy and quick. I shopped around a lot for this piece and Buds has the best price. Much thanks.

I love this Kahr P380. Three malfunctions during the first 50 rounds using target loads. Have fired another 250+ rounds through it since then with various ammunition and no malfunctions. Very easy to carry and conceal and goes bang every time I pull the trigger. I would definitely recommend this pistol to a friend.

This is a sweet little gun. It shoots pretty accurately to about 25 feet. It's well made with a lot of stainless versus the Ruger LCP. It fits well in hand and is hardly noticable when tucked in a pocket holster or without for a good conceal carry. One needs to run at least 200 rounds through it before using as a carry though. The action was rather tight, but loosened up big time with more rounds through it. In shooting close to 600-700 rounds, it only had 2-3 hiccups and that was only when chambering the 1st round. It may have been that the round was not all the way back against the magazine wall. If the 1st round chambers, all the others went in cleanly without any jamming. It has a long trigger pull, but that's for safety. Buying from Buds is painless-if you buy from anybody else, you've paid too much.

My second order from Bud's. The transactions couldn't be easier or smoother. Competitive pricing. Good company to do business with. This .380 is right for those times when anything larger won't do. Very comfortable to shoot, my hand felt fine after 100 rounds! When you buy this gun, be aware that Kahr recommends a 200 round break in period before it is deemed reliable for carry. It's a very small gun with tight tolerances, this is to be expected. Two important tips.... 1) Per Kahr tech support, use only brass cased, American made, factory fresh ammo. 2) Kahr has an excellent video on YouTube that will make field stripping far clearer than the manual. A "must watch".
