Just got mine. Looks like it has been carried for sure but barrel looks cleaner. It has a weird key chain like ring on the end of the handle. Maybe the patrolman carrying it had to keep it on a wire so they would not lose it? I was hopping it would be in better condition but it give the high power experience cheaper.

Buds shipped the gun quickly and I had it at my FFL two to three days later. The listing was fairly accurate though my gun had the Arcus wrap around rubber grips and the lanyard loop was not a real Browning pattern lanyard loop. It was literately a a steel hook with a nut threaded on the other end that looked like it was straight from Home Depot. I think the magazine I got is a 13 round also not 15 and is worn. It won't always hold the slide open on the last shot but it fed fine with snap caps. I haven't fired it. There was some minor rust on the trigger transfer bar on the slide and the paint finish was completely flaking off. However once I rubbed/ scrapped off the remains of the painted finish and used a liberal amount of cold bluing, the gun came to life. The blued/ parkerized finish underneath the paint was still in good shape. Lock up is tight, barrel fit is good and the rifling on the barrel looks great. The trigger has a bit off odd creep before it breaks but it's a decent trigger, weight about 5 pounds even with the dreaded mag disconnect. It's definitely not a competition trigger but it gets the job done more than well enough. I know it sounded negative in the beginning and you may be wondering why I gave it such a high score. That's because from what I see this gun really is a diamond in the rough. It feels great in your hand like a real High Power does and it has the extended beaver tail to prevent hammer bite. I also like the squared off trigger guard. The rest of the finish was pretty good, a few small nicks here and there on the frame and slide but nothing serious. For the money, this will make an excellent restoration gun and is worth getting if you like the Hi Power but want a version with a longer beaver tail and square trigger guard. From what I read it should also be compatible with most standard Hi Power parts like grips, safeties, hammers, etc. I did order some wood Hi Power grips for it, but haven't test it yet.
