Has anybody put reduced power Wolf sear&bolt springs in these? Main spring? Do they take Colt springs? Trigger is pretty heavy from factory.

On both of my Bounty Hunters I’ve installed Wisner’s medium strength Colt spring kits (available only from Brownells). The kit supplies replacements for the trigger/bolt spring and the mainspring. Replacing these springs reduces the trigger pull from 7 pounds to 5 pounds. While that isn’t what I’d call light, it feels far better than the original spring.

Hi there John. The closest match Wolff springs are going to be the Uberti set from Wolff. However, I have not used/installed a set to date. My instincts tell me this set will work, but I can not profess to be 100% sure. I would give EAA a call first to see if they carry a suitable "Parts Set" or if not, a recommendation on an aftermarket set such as Wolff. Wolf springs will give you a hair trigger.

Hi John, Eagle Grips, Tombstone grips and Western and Wildlife Wonders are all on par quality wise. You would just need to narrow down to your favorite set and order. They are all quality makers.

I have googled Eaa guns and come up with bad and good reviews ranging from customer service to more serious things. I love the price and .44 mag is more useful than the 45 lc I'm considering from pietta. Make your case with me about the pros and cons of Eaa .44 mag please.

Fit and finish is great. It is 'More Solidly" built and will handle the .44 Magnum round just fine. Most issues related to this pistol were more "Manufacturer" quality control issues than anything else(These should be more worked out now). The warranty and Customer Service would make this a winner "Given the price point" range. (You also have extra protection by purchasing the Buds Limited Lifetime Warranty as well).

The Bounty Hunter is a very solid and well built handgun for the price. The front sight was loose and very poorly soldered in place. The extractor pin shroud screw would come loose after repeated 44 mag firings. Details that EAA should look into. On the positive side. The gun was very accurate with different loads. I took care of the negative issues. I therefore gave it a three star rating.

Built solid, fit and finish are above average...Trigger pull was terrible, I put in a Wolf spring and experienced light strikes on primers then switched it out to a Wisners spring kit from Brownells and she is a sweet shooter..When going to the range I grab this one before my Blackhawk which I have been taking for the last 30 years...Well worth the price but you have to change the spring..

Fit and Finish of the EAA Bounty Hunter 4.5" barrel, .44 Magnum , is superb. Accurate at 20 yards and the weight feels great with moderate recoil for the caliber. Would I buy again? YES! If you shoot reloads, be sure that the bullet has a cannelure and crimped tight. I used a smooth bullet, and still crimped, but the recoil wiggled out a bullet from the case enough that the cylinder would not cycle to that shot. That issue was my fault and not of the pistol. I Love this firearm and look forward to purchasing another from Buds!

Very well made gun.Heavy,tight fitted cylinder,grip. Bluing and Case hardening is flawless and beautiful. Finish on grip frame is different from rest of gun and could be improved a bit.Trigger pull is way to heavy but can be easily changed. Hammer spring tension is ok and must be maintained to function Transfer bar. I have not fired this gun yet but I have no doubt it will go bang! To sum it up I feel there is no better .44 magnum for the money. It is as pretty as guns that cost a LOT more. I'm very happy with the purchase and after buying three guns from Bud's I am confident they do the best job possible in on line gun sales. If I were you I'd buy one of these before the price goes up.

No problems after 100 rounds of full magnum to 44 spl. This gun can be a hand full with the full mag rounds The trigger is a little on the heavy side and there is a few sharp edges on the gun.
