I finally got a single action colt .45, doesn’t matter to me that it is a clone. I bought 2 Chiappa .22 cal single actions back in 2019, they are nice, they prepared me for the real deal. This 4.5 inch big bore Bounty Hunter is solid and hefty. The trigger is okay, the hammer pull is a little stiff, that’s okay with me. The only down side is no ‘C O L T’ on the hammer pull only 3 clicks. The ejector rod is a little sticky, but just wiggle the notch once the shell falls out and it works okay. The walnut grips felt fine to me, I have medium size hands. The recoil was okay, I have a .45 acp M&P 2.0 and could not tell the difference in recoil. Today, out of 50 shots I hit 29. The first 10 shots were at 20 ft, I only hit 2 and those were at the top of the target. I brought the target to 15 and 12 ft and hit the target more consistently at 12 ft, even got one in the red zone of the bulls eye, so the gun shoots a little high. The last 10 shots were at 10 ft, these were more in the middle of the target. Over all I like this gun, the price attracted me to European American. This is the first time I’ve been to any range since the pandemic, I see the cost of ammo has gone up, so Buds please send me some discounts on .45LC and .45acp ammo. Bud's delivered everything quickly and as described. I really like this revolver, like it better than my new model Blackhawk. This looks a like like the older Vaqueros with the beefier frames. The trigger is stiff but SAA colt springs replacements are available. Nickle finish is excellent. Locks up tight and shoots straight. Thanks Buds!

Buyer beware! My EAA Bounty Hunter has ejector rod issues. Sent firearm back to EAA for repair. Ejector rod was originally getting stuck when depressed rearward. Received it back today and now it binds and doesn't want to go rearward, and when it does it still gets stuck. So the original problem still exists along with a new problem. Also, you have to send $20 to EAA for them to send it back to you. I'm waiting for the service manager to contact me on this issue. I wish I could get a refund of credit from Bud's to put it towards another manufacturer or different items.

This one was a winner for me! The fixed sights shot right to point of aim with 230 and 255 lead slugs. Trigger pull a little stiff but a piece of leather under hammer spring helped on that. Also the chambers slugged out to .454 which was a nice benefit with the .452 bore,very accurate for a gun with small fixed sights. Thanx buds!
