love this gun what more can I say thank you

This is by far one of the most comfortable firearm to handle, fit and finish, amazing for a gun off this price.
I have not fire it yet, so, I will be back for more review later.

Bought this gun a year ago, just as my wife and I made the decision to retire from being educators and leave Florida for East Tennessee. I was thinking about the carry laws in that part of the country and about doing some hiking in retirement. As a former Infantry Captain, I’m big on staying safe in the woods. I wanted a sidearm that could anchor any predator that I might happen across in the Tri Cities region of extreme NE Tennessee. After much research (as an NRA INSTRUCTOR for 30+ years I have lots of information available) and decided that a 10mm semi auto with a six inch barrel would fill the bill perfectly. Buds had exactly what I needed (EAA TANFOGLIO HUNTER) in 10mm and they had it for LESS than anyone else. Bought it, got it and had it ported to tame the notorious recoil. Now it kicks like a light loaded .45acp and is incredibly accurate. Buds scores another victory.

The Witness Hunter 10mm is an amazing gun.
Good weight, amazing trigger, and firing miniature nukes, err, 10mm rounds is a blast.
My only complaint would be to take your time learning how to and adjusting trigger. If you don't know how I wouldn't mess with it, but after a short break in of 50 rounds, it feeds flawless and trigger reset is superb.

This pistol is absolutely amazing!! The quality, fit and finish and accuracy of this pistol is impeccable. I would not hesitate to recommend this pistol to anyone that is looking for an outstanding powerful hunting pistol!

This is a review for the EAA/Tanfoglio Witness Hunter. It is a 10mm handgun built in Tanfoglio's Italian custom shop on their 'Competition Frame'. This is a standardized frame for, as the name implies, their custom and semi-custom competition minded pistols. My understanding is that this basic frame is the one used for the Limited, Limited Pro, Limited Custom, Gold Team, Gold Match, Gold Custom, Stock 1, 2 and 3, and of course, the Hunter. Its large size allows it to be used for calibers 9mm through .45ACP. The Hunter is equipped with many features also common with the competition pistols: Extended beavertail, magazine release, right-hand safety, and slide release, an adjustable rear 'Super Sight' and a non adjustable front sight. The frame is drilled and tapped with 8 holes in the dust cover for use with a weaver or C-More sight mount. This pistol also comes with a 6 inch polygonally rifled barrel to squeeze extra accuracy and velocity out of your rounds. Unlike the other competition pistols, the Hunter is designed from a different perspective. Where others are flashy, this one is more subdued. Instead of bright stainless and nickel coloring, the Hunter has a deep, rich bluing. It is a very understated but formidable and intimidating pistol with lines and silhouette similar to its standard CZ cousins, but much beefier. I purchased this firearm at around $1,050 and purchased an additional magazine to go with it. The firearm arrived in a large plastic case prominently emblazoned with the EAA and Tanfoglio names, two latches and a small combination style briefcase lock in the middle behind the handle. Inside was the Witness Hunter, a small capsule containing a cleaning kit, 2 extra recoil springs, a magazine, a small baggie containing a fiber optic sight and allen wrench, an orange chamber flag, and a small padlock with a plastic trigger lock. Upon inspecting the pistol, there was a minor irregularity in the reflection of the finish near the front of the dust cover on the left side of the pistol. I am not sure what caused it or why it is there but it has no functional effect on the pistol or its finish. The Witness Hunter feels good in the hand, and is very solid feeling and heavy. The tolerances felt tight to me and I could find no play in any of the parts. Upon taking it to the range for the first time it was enjoyable to shoot. I experienced no malfunctions out of the box and through 100 rounds of 10mm standard Underwood. It was a very precise shooter and I have no doubts that it can easily put rounds on target at 75+ meters. After shooting many rounds through this pistol I have noticed some 'wear' on the top lip of the chamber where it interfaces with the breechface, however since I do not know if it was present when I received the pistol, it may just be an artifact of the manufacturing process. The only complaint I have is that the Super Sight is very difficult to adjust. The dials are incredibly stiff and the sight on my Hunter now has a large scratch across the top due to this. Luckily the rest of the pistol is unmarred, but the difficulty with adjusting the rear sight is frustrating. The stock front sight is also pure black, and the fiber optic is difficult to install. With my eyes going the way they are it may be time to bite the bullet and take advantage of the scope mount and get an optic. Outside the range I have taken it hunting in very overgrown forest and it survived the wetness, the scratching branches and several falls into mud with no damage to the finish or dirt infiltration. Though it is not listed as a compatible model, I use it with the Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit with shim installed. A nice bonus is that with no further adjustment it also snugly fits my standard CZ75BD and Kahr CW9. Overall I rate the pistol a 10/10

So I received this guns a couple days ago, fit and finish was perfect, The gun came with three springs, 14 lbs being the strongest. From past reviews I decided to go with the 18 lbs. spring from wolf. I took the gun to the range and it performed flawlessly. I'm very happy with this gun, the bluing is deep and dark even colored, the wood grips are well made, and I must say as far as buying a new gun, the first impression with this gun was the best, the case is amazing. Minimal recoil and all around a beautiful weapon, I would not hesitate to make this purchase again, good luck.

I've been wanting a Tanfoglio Hunter 10mm for about two years. I had a lot of expectations for this pistol. Everything is better than I thought it would be. Fit and finish is excellent! Recoil is mild with 180gr. At 543ftlbs. Gun is very accurate. I have average hands and most pistols dont fit well in my hands. I like Cz because they aren't very wide. This pistol fits my average hands perfectly. The case it came in is the nicest case of any gun I've ever purchased. Purchased from Buds on Monday. Shipped on Tuesday. Arrived at FFL on Thursday. Picked up gun on Friday! This is my second gun purchase from Buds and they have met all my expectations. I would buy this gun again and I would definitely buy from Buds again.

This is a large handgun for a cartridge powerful enough to kill any game on the continent. The 6 inch barrel lets me attain velocities with heavy bullets that make it legal to hunt big game like deer and elk this fall in Colorado which has a minimum of 500 foot pounds of energy. The Double Tap Ammo available for the 10 mm Auto also easily exceeds this figure. This is a very accurate, easily controlled handgun and easier to shoot than the 1911 10mm's on the market. Has nice a adjustable rear sight and 2 front sights (one black and one fiber optic). Good trigger too. It fits the Alaska Man Gear holster for large auto (MGP1) that carries the gun across your chest.

This is an awesome pistol. I have several 10mm for hunting but I believe this one may become may favorite. Bud's as ALWAYS was easy to work with and handled everything great.
