The refined lines and traditional style of the Lux reflect a long, proud tradition of gun makers and hunters. The Lux lives up to the expectations of its lineage, but it is so much more than oil-finished select-grade walnut and steel. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern bases. The advantage of the Lux goes beyond mere aesthetics; it comes with a sub-MOA guarantee as well. The thread pattern is M15x1.

Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!
I already have an AR15 chambered in 223, but wanted a lightweight bolt action in the same caliber. This rifle caught my eye and having purchased from Buds before I went for it The transaction was seem-less with quick shipping The wood on this rifle is beautiful I must admit the schnable forearm takes some getting used to The front and rear sights were a bit much, but are easily removed and unnecessary when you mount a scope The rifle is smooth and accurate, sub MOA with factory ammo I am pleased with this purchase Both CZ and Buds are great

A:Hi Joseph and welcome. One would need the actual Serial Number to confirm with CZ USA. Since this is popular and sells quickly, it should be a recent model. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy! -

A:Hi Carl, even though it is called a .223, all CZ .223 rifles are also capable of firing 5.56.See 2 more answers |
From CZ FAQ page "FOR US BASED CUSTOMERS- All of our .223s will happily eat 5.56. Since our factory is in Europe, we build everything to CIP spec, which doesn’t differentiate between the two cartridges and just has the higher pressure as its standard. So the CZ .223s will shoot everything from the cheapest Russian steel to match .223 brass ammo."

A:Hi Doug, no sir, while it still has a controlled feed, this is not the old Mauser Bolt. CZ is no longer making the Mauser-based actions it has been renowned for over decades. The CZ 600 series has an all-new design.See 3 more answers |
Excerpts taken from article -
CZ is known for making classic, square bridge, Mauser-style bolt action rifles. While still a great configuration that works quite well, technology has moved on and CZ decided it was time to move with it.
The bolt has two rows of three locking lugs and a compact 60-degree bolt throw, with the exception of the mini action which has only three lugs. Significant effort went into the bolt design. CZ ditched the classic Mauser claw extractor for a more modern AR- or Sako-type but still managed to make it control round feed.
Another feature is the controlled ejection. Many riflemen shooting Winchester Model 70s or Mausers appreciated working the bolt slow to drop cases right beside the rifle or working the bolt briskly to send cases over to your buddy two benches away. The CZ 600 has a plunger-style ejector that pops the case out in the same manner.

A:Hi Michael, no sir, this gun is rated for .223 only, you should not attempt to fire 5.56 from it. The listing has been corrected.
