Great gun. you just need to shoot heavier grain ammo

I have always liked the look and feel of the Bersa Thunder pistols. And even while working for several gun shops, sold a ton of them. Easy to sell something that you believe in. But oddly just kept putting it off for many years. Decided that I really wanted to get the 22 with threaded barrel. I also got a Q El Camino suppressor. After having both in hand I finally got a chance to hit the range. Its been 5 hours and still cannot remove the smile from my face. Straight from the box I fired one mag of basic Federal ammo, no malfunctions at all, ran great. So I put on the Q El Camino suppressor and ran some of the same federals thru it and some CCI Green Tag. ZERO malfunctions. I could not help but giggle every time I pulled the trigger. I just 100% love this setup. Why oh why did I wait so long to get one of these. As for the pistol, I have medium to large hands and the fit was perfect. Finish on the pistol is perfect and a deep rich matte black finish. Trigger is a bit heavy blut really clean break. Accuracy is really good and if I did my part it did its part. I had lots of people want to try it out since it just looked cool and was cooler with the suppressor on it. The grips are fine but will probably put on Hogue grips or find some Pearl for it. Just for a tad better overall feel and look. Only ammo that did not feed were subsonic and thats understandable. I took several other brand new firearms to the range today but for me this was my overall favorite.

I have been a believer in Bersa pistols for years. This is my third Thunder series pistol, first in .22lr. The finish on this 22MX is high quality, consistent dark bluing and no machine marks or anything like that. Ran a box of 50 CCI mini-mags through it as soon as I got home from the gun store & It ate them no problem. Very happy with the firearm, thank you Buds.

I’ve owned mini 22 pistols, Walther, Ruger, and a few others. The Bersa Thunder compares in looks inside to the Walther PPK and 22 caliber however the PPK is around $100-$200 more. I have found that the Bersa shoots as well is just as reliable, so why pay the extra money? I have long since dropped namebrand as a criteria for buying a firearm. Nowadays, I want bang for the buck and don’t believe you could purchase a better pistol than the Bersa Thunder. The Tarsus TX-22 is nearly as good but it doesn’have a threaded barrel as a stock offering and the Bersa is smaller. It is my backup pistol and is an excellent value.

Very happy with gun shoots great and great price

I've owned probably a half-dozen Bersa Thunder's over at least 25 years. This is first .22 I've owned. Bersa makes a fine handgun. They are a basic, no frills firearm, but they function reliably and are affordable. My problem with the Bersa .380 is that I kept getting slide-bit - a downside of having big hands - but I would keep buying them anyway. I haven't had that problem with the .22. This gun is well balanced, easy to load, easy to shoot, was not picky about ammo - fired every time, never jammed. I've not put hundreds of rounds through it yet, but so far I am very please. It fits nicely in my hand. Double action is a little heavy, but that is to be expected. Single-action is smooth and crisp. It's not a competition gun. It is just a fun gun to burn some rounds or small enough to carry. A .22 not for personal protection, but lead is lead if it is what you got at the time. And for someone that doesn't handle recoil and muzzle flip of a larger caliber this will do in a pinch. It would easily fit in a tackle box or glovebox. It's inexpensive to own and shoot and all day reliable.
