Always wanted a 1911 close to a WWII version. This one seems like the most accurate representation. Haven't shot it yet, but it's super cool!

I acquired my WW2 1943 Ithaca 1911A1 a number of years ago and since then I have seen the prices continue to rise to a point where I could not afford to risk shooting it to have anything happen to it. So, I decided to give this Tisas a try as I have bought Tisas made 1911s in the past and they are quite good for the cost. In this case.... HOLY COW! This 1911 is AMAZING! Other than the plastic grips (it comes with a really nice WW1 type wood set and the WW2 style plastic type) being slightly a lighter color and the placement of the serial number, it is almost identical to my 43 Ithaca and would probably be even a closer clone to a Remington Rand. In this case, I bought the 9mm version because I bought it to shoot and 9mm is much cheaper than the original 45ACP. The action is butter smooth; finish is top notch and indistinguishable from the finish on the original. It's amazing to me that Tisas is able to dang near exactly reproduce a WW2 1911A1 for a fraction of the price of a real one. To be honest, this is so close to authentic, that it would fool even most "gun nuts." If I didn't have the silly money to buy a real WW2 1911A1, this would be a great choice. If you already have one, this is still a good choice because you can shoot this and not worry about anything happening to your valuable heirloom.
