This is the new line of 22 caliber rimfire rifles from Marlin. Perfect for target practice and small game, these bolt action 22s are reliable, accurate and fun to shoot. This particular model features a 12 round tubular magazine, walnut stock, semi buckhorn sights, the Pro-Fire adjustable trigger, and Micro-Grove rifling.

This is my review of my first buy from Buds and Marlin 70851. First I'm very happy with my purchase. The gun is made better than I could hope for. The workman ship is something else. The stock makes the gun stand out. I just wish Marlin would put this stock on their 70821 gun.

This is the most beautiful rifle I own. The wood stock is a gorgeous black walnut and has exceptional grain. The checkering in the provided photo is very basic, but the checkering on my stock is fancy with fleur di lis all over. The bluing is a very deep, rich color and you don't often see this kind of quality in a $300.00 price point rifle. The verdict is not yet in on its shootability. I am sure I will have to adjust the iron sights because you can clearly see that the rear buckhorn is off center.

This is more of a review of Buds Gun Shop. I have made five firearm purchases from Buds over the last few years and I must say their customer service, firearm prices and availability are the best. Top notch. Every transaction went smoothly and the time between purchase and delivery was exceptionally fast, quick and easy. I will continue to do business with Buds. Now for the Marlin. after going over the outward aesthetics everything appears good. Nice wood thought the checkering is different then in the pictures and more of the older style checkering of previous Marlins.The barrel bluing was nicely done there are no thin areas. The new trigger action is smooth and the pull is hardly noticeable. Now I've only a few rounds down range so far with no problems. Once I've a few hundred or thousand rounds threw it I'll reviews this rifle again. One more thing I must add I've been looking for this rifle since September of 2011 and Buds was the first to have it in stock this May 2012.
