Very nice gun, pretty accurate right out of the box. The only thing i can say on the down side is it has a bit more weight than what you might think.

First, I want to say that shipping was fast and accurate. As for the gun, I LOVE IT. I have put around 300 rounds through it and maybe I had 4-5 fails (failure to feed). It shot perfectly right out of the box. I typically use brass American Federal ammo but have shot the aluminum Tulammo ammo and Hornady hollow point ammo too with no problems. There was a big cloud that came out of the barrel when I first shot it but I stripped it down and cleaned it and have not had a problem since. The only drawback is the red dot scope that I purchased with it. I had to remove the rear and front sights in order to attach the scope.

The Hi Point 4095 is a rather strange design and has a tedious takedown process. The sling is "cheesy" and I won't be using it. The carbine came with a BSA Red "Dot" optic. The red "dot" is shaped like an amoeba, rather than a dot. I didn't expect much for the $30 upcharge for the Red Dot and I wasn't disappointed. On low power it is fine to 50 yards. All that being said, I LOVE my Hi Point Carbine. After cleaning the rifle I took it to the range and fired 150 rounds with "open" sights. After minor windage and elevation adjustments, EVERY single round was in the 10 spot. This may be the most accurate firearm I own. I was using PMC and Blazer Brass and had not one failure to feed, fire or eject. I purchased a Hi Point compensator for the carbine, but, I will not be using it, as the recoil is almost non-existent. I love my .40 so much I am going to buy a Hi Point 9MM carbine. I highly recommend this rifle.

Great product. I was worried that for such a cheap rifle it would perform at $300... it did not. This rifle made me go wow and put it down after my first shot. It's crazy accurate. I don't know the durability, but it seems very well built.

Great gun. I had 4 FTF's with the first 50 rounds with Tula ammo. 1 FTF with the 50 with Federal FMJ. Replaced the red dot with a Leatherwood red dot and added the factory muzzle brake.
