Received my Howa 223 a few weeks ago but wanted to take it out on the range before making my comments. I was looking for a bolt action target rifle but did not want to pay the big $$$. I saw this rifle with the floating barrel, two stage trigger and thumb hole at $640 and said I would give it a try. It's not really what I call a two stage trigger, there is no slack, but this trigger is just GREAT. The riffle is very accurate. The recoil system works wonders. One day when I have the $$$ I would like to up-grade to a competition barrel. But for now this is just what I needed. While sighting in at 50m yds I was grouping at about 1.5 inch and at 100 yds 2-3 inch. So I think with some more practice I will be able to tighten the group. Would love to try it out at 300-600 yards, One day. Thank you Buds, this must be my 5 or 6 gun from you, hopefully when I reach ten I get some thing free, LOL...
