T.C. 30-06, SS Venture Rifle W/ Weather Shield: I am very impressed by the design engineering that went into this rifle. From a perfect fit between the bedded stock and free floated action, to a tremendously crisp trigger, and a smooth bolt to ease chambering and extraction. T.C. guarantees a 3 shot, one inch group with premium ammunition, at 100 yards. Yes, this happened for me a number of times with Federal Premium, 165 gr. ammunition. Usual groups are a bit over an inch, but when the wind slows down, under one inch groups are probable. The new lands and grooves of the barrel's rifling contribute to much easier cleaning after a target session at the range. I highly recommend this Venture hunting rifle. Its recoil pad is also constructed to widely distribute recoil of the 30-06 round and translates it more into a widely placed "push". This is a lot of hunting rifle for a good price.
